I drink far more beer than I actually review, but every now and then I taste something where I rush to my computer to review. Today, it’s Cape May IPA, made by Cape May Brewing Company.

Any beer with a crab on the label is one that tells me: Drink this with a bushel. While I don’t always have a bushel at my disposal (have you seen crab prices lately?), it usually means that the brewery is taking it seriously that the beer should indeed be paired with crabs (and Old Bay, of course, but us Marylanders already know that).

This beer, at 6.3% alc, has much in common with typical IPAs but has a somewhat sweet twang on an aftertaste that sets it apart from others. I’m on my third one tonight already and would keep buying this one if it was more readily available. 4 stars.
