BenI don’t drink nearly enough Belgian beers, and I’m reminded of that when the IPAs stop hogging the shelves and make room for something different. While Merry Monks is my favorite and what I use as a measuring stick, New Belgium’s Trippel, at 8.5% alc, is a worthy partner. It’s light golden hue, spiced hops, fruity aroma and Monk Belgian yeast makes for a tasty drink that doesn’t skimp on taste. I’ll give this 4 stars, and it renewed my interest in seeking out more Trippels.
